Tiarella wherryi (Foam Flower)
Everything is pleasing about Tiarella (Foam Flower), a woodland native. The deeply lobed green foliage of Tiarella is tinged with bronze and accented with purple veins, and the short spires of white/pink tipped flowers appear out of nowhere in spring and will reappear if deadheaded. Growing to only about ten inches, it is hard to believe that such a demure plant adds so much garden interest, but it does. Partial shade in Zones 3-8. Quarts.
Tiarella wherryi "Sugar Scoop" (Foam Flower)
Here is another beautiful Foam Flower with pink-tinged white flowers and bright green foliage. Foam Flower "Sugar Scoop" has more than its good looks going for it: the blooms are also delicately and sweetly scented. This Tiarella is a long bloomer and ideal for borders and even containers. "Sugar scoop" tolerates a wide range of conditions and will do well with sun, some shade is advisable. Zones 4-8. Quarts.
