Carex morrowii var. temnolepis "Silk Tassel" (Silk Tassel Sedge)

This cool-season, fountain-like sedge grows wider than tall, with variegated, very fine-textured leaves spreading on the ground.  The fine-lined leaves with green borders and a white stripe along the length of the foliage are said to give it the illusion of sparkling.  It is perfect for shade but can tolerate sun if given sufficient moisture.     Zones 5-9.
