Campanula poscharskyana (Serbian Bellflower)
This lovely sprawling Campanula from the Northern Balkins is almost too pretty to be real. It is low growing, only to about six inches high, so it is ideal for edging, rock gardens spilling over walls and banks, and even for a container. If it gets too out of bounds, and I don't know why it would, it can easily be trimmed. The foliage is bright green, and the blooms are perfect, blue/lavender stars. It prefers full sun to part shade (particularly in hot areas), consistent moisture, and well-drained soil. It can be divided in early spring. Zones 3-8. Quarts.
