Callirhoe bushii (Bush's Poppy Mallow)
One of the common names of Callirhoe bushii is "Wine Cups," and it is a perfect one, too, because it accurately describes the flower's magenta, cup-shaped blooms. Callirhoe bushii is a rambler and spreads to about three feet, and it looks best where it's given room to meander among other plants. Callirhoe bushii matures to about two feet in height, likes full sun to partial shade, and soil on the dry side. It is a long bloomer in summer and a butterfly magnet. Zones 4-8. Quarts.
