Tricyrtis "Sinonome" (Toad Lily)
I just can't seem to get enough of these exquisite, shade-loving Japanese Toad Lilies, and "Sinonome" is particularly beautiful. Growing from two to three feet tall, with a spread of two feet, Tricyrtis "Sinonome" has one-inch, purple and white speckled blooms in late summer/early fall. Although "Sinonome" likes slightly moist soil, once established, this Japanese Toad Lily is quite drought tolerant. This Tricyrtis hirta x formosana hybrid is just the ticket for a lightly shaded woodland garden. Zones 5-9. Quarts.
