Digitalis lanata (Wooly Foxglove, Grecian Foxglove)
Digitalis lanata is perennial but sometimes behaves like a biennial, but don't let that fool you. Like other foxgloves, if you let it go to seed, it will always be around somewhere. Somtimes referred to as "wooly," because the leaves and white, heavily veined in brown, flowers have hairy filaments. Digitalis lanata grows in part shade and rich soil to about three feet. Zones 4-10. Quarts. (Illustrtion from Curtis Botanical Magazine by John Sims 1749-1831).
