Salvia guaranitica "Omaha Gold" (Variegated Anise Leaf Sage)
This bloomed for the first time for me in the greenhouse during winter. I don't know what I liked more: the beautiful electric blue blooms or the heart-shaped, variegated foliage. "Omaha Gold" is a fast grower and a big grower, growing to six feet in sun/part shade and in very well-drained soil. It is hardy to 10 degrees (Zone 7b) to 10., so give it winter protection or use it as an annual. Better yet, take cuttings, and if you don't know how, I'll tell you. Quarts.
