Salvia mexicana "Limelight"
This Salviae from Mexico really pops with its deep blue/purple blooms held in lime green calyces. It's a happy camper, too, blooming nonstop on its six-foot frame. Although only hardy for Zones 8-11, that shouldn't stop you from growing it as an annual and taking cuttings before cold weather settles in. If you don't know how, just ask me. It can also be grown in a container for a more compact plant. "Limelight" dazzles in full sun and well-drained soil. Quarts and larger.
