Lysimachia clethroides (Gooseneck Loosestrife)
Temporarily out of stock
Visitors to my garden have always loved Gooseneck Loosestrife. Its graceful, pristine white blooms really do remind one of geese, and when there are masses of flowers blooming at the same time, it is a beautiful sight. The plants grow to three feet high, and the gentle bending blooms, up to eight inches long, begin to wow you in mid-summer. Don't let those graceful blooms fool you - Gooseneck Loosestrife is a "tough old bird" and can withstand just about any kind of soil, as long as it's moist and light. Be forewarned that Lysimachia clethroides is a spreader, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Sun. Zones 4-8. Quarts.
